The Chloe Saskia bags were released in February and were supposed to be a huge hit for Chloe. But these bags have mixed reviews, and the feelings are extreme either way. Most either absolutely love it or absolutely hate it. I see the response being the same for the smaller version of this handbag, the Chloe Saskia Patchwork Pouchette. Chloe Ines Box Clutch
You can not get away from the bright bold colors of spring. Even the shapes are bold, geometric, and memorable. At times some of the colors look like a crayon box gone awry and other times it is the perfect mix of colors on a blank palette. A similar color scheme was used in the Chloe Saskia Pouchette and while many of you were not fans, I was oddly lured in. But this time with the cleaner lines, more striking allure, and bold colors, I am just ‘ehh’ with the Chloe Ines Box Clutch.The red and pink color blocking does stand out, the shape can be considered classic. I love this Miu Miu Fringe Tote. This “deserto”-hued leather square bag comes off as too hippie - it’s bohemian chic gone wrong. The combination of fringe with whipstitching on the sides - not to mention leather handles and a strap - overwhelms what started out as a killer piece of supple leather. Jazzy and uncomplicated, the Vernice Color Flat Purse by Miu Miu has an old Hollywood vibe about it. Carry it while you rock your Shirley Temple corkscrews (or maybe just some nice waves will do). Miu Miu only showed a handful of handbags at its recent Paris ready-to-wear show, starting with two beige, soft leather bags that looked lovely but didn’t exactly stand out. The following bags were more promising - a beautiful charcoal ostrich leather bag, a rich red top handle bag that could easily double as a briefcase, and an elegant tan purse with gold hardware. Everything was classic and sleek, and sure to be on every woman’s wish list.

Capturing two trends in one, the luxurious Miu Miu Ruched Clutch is a great bag for a dressy springtime fête. The perforated gold metallic leather exterior is cool and smooth to the touch, and gleams gorgeously in the light. The ruched zip top makes it a bit less dressy, a little bit more appropriate for daytime and adds a nice contrast in texture to the sleek leather. There’s something that’s irresistibly fresh and delicate about this Miu Miu Frame Handle Tote. It could be the white nappa leather, which evokes a youthful, springtime vibe. The tote comes with two handles and a tan webbed shoulder strap. Two white leather straps fastened by gold buckles and rings run down each side of the bag’s front. Jennifer Love Hewitt has been keeping a low profile lately but she obviously has not been out of the fashion loop — check out the gorgeous and coveted Prada Fairy bag on her arm! Truth be told, I haven’t looked at a Prada bag with lust since my college days when I scrimped my work-study money for the Prada Campus Bag. But Prada definitely caught my attention with this work of art. While it’s a structured bag, you won’t believe how supple the leather actually is, and the colors in the picture don’t do justice to the vibrant hues of this Fairy Bag in real life.

If you didn’t know who Tilda Swinton was, chances are you did after the Oscars. Not only did she win, but she also looked a little fierce in her black Lanvin gown, scarce makeup and flaming red hair. How is it that this avant garde gal is rocking Prada’s ultra trendy Fairies bag? Perhaps it’s her love of art, but I can’t imagine why she’s carrying a handbag that is so mainstream. At any rate, it works for her and I’m anxious to see Tilda become of the fashion world.

Putting a unique spin on the traditional black carryall, this Prada Rosette Tote defines beauty and function. I love the delicate addition of black rosettes - they’re unexpected and come across as a bit tough thanks to their color. A long shoulder strap makes this a great everyday purse, the perfect piece to transition from the day shift to the evening wind down in style. Very pretty…I really like Prada’s affinity for roses this season.
