When it comes to patchwork creations, the two same words always come to mind; trendy anc tacky. And the Miss Pocket Patchwork N/S bag in snakesin by Dolce & Gabbana, is no exception. Seriously, this patchwork design looks more like a mosaic-inspired mess. Everything from the multicolor clash to the snakeskin and suede combo does not mix well at all, in my opinion.
I suppose the only feature that isn’t disatrous is the convertibility of the bag. At least you’d be able to wear it a few different ways. The fold-over concept reminds me a little of F+C style. You can carry it by handles in your hands, or elongate the strap from 23″ to 26″ and wear it as a shoulder bag.
So, what exactly is the price tag on this one? It retails for $3,995 becase it’s constructed from genuine snakeskin. I can understand that genuine exotic skins are expensive, but I don’t see how this particular handbag could be valued so highly. There’s too much going on here, so this one is a definite nay for me.
What do you think about the Miss Pocket Patchwork bag by D&G?

Louis Vuitton has always been my choice for handbags but recently I have my eye on another designer, Dolce & Gabbana. I have Dolce & Gabbana eye glasses and I just recently purchased Dolce & Gabbana sunglasses, now I’m craving a Dolce & Gabbana handbag. The other day I found myself searching on websites to find the perfect Dolce & Gabbana handbag, and it was then that I stumbled on a beautiful bag on eLUXURY. I bring to you the Dolce & Gabbana Miss Catch Satchel. The Miss Catchel Satchel is beautiful in every way, shape and form. The satchel has gorgeous silver hardware, a double zip top, detachable buckled leather strap, and it is complete with a logo plate dangling from the handle.

It’s no secret that my favorite color is pink. When I see a handbag in the color pink, no matter what brand it is, I fall in love. Something about pink bags just make me druel. A pink handbag that I am currently wanting a relationship with is the Dolce & Gabbana Miss Curly Pochette in Rose. I’ve always wanted a pink leather handbag and clutch! The Miss Curly Pochette can be both and it’s making my heart go pitter patter. The Miss Curly Pochette conveniently comes with a detachable shoulder strap, so you can wear it as a clutch or handbag. The Pochette also has a gorgeous nameplate dangling from it, but not to worry it can be removed if your not in favor of some “bling” hanging from your bag.

The thought of animal furs’ lining designer goods and accessories has always been a controversial and debatable topic in the world of fashion. Some like the look, while others can’t bear to wear fur, period. With this thought in mind, I spotted this newbie by designer partners Dolce & Gabbana; meet the Miss Glamorous Fur Print Handbag. That’s right, it’s a “fur-print” piece, meaning that it contains no fur what so ever. Instead, you’ll find rich D&G grained-leather printed with artistic effects, with end results of what looks like real fur! Think of those trendy animal-print handbags that are pretty popular at the moment. I can’t imagine myself sporting a critter-print handbag, as I’m not fond of this design either. I don’t hate the look, but animal prints are definitely not my style. Then again, if you oppose the industry but like the look of fur, maybe this Dolce and Gabbana is the one for you.

Quick, somebody find this bag an iron! I can relate to the creased style Dolce & Gabbana presents to us fashionista’s this season as this looks like something my boyfriend would wear; clean, right out of the dryer, and yes, wrinkled! I think this concept is fun, and thank goodness that the material of choice is distressed leather, as distressed leather seems like the best choice to wrinkle up and still look fab. Pretty feminine ruffles and the dangling Dolce & Gabbana plaque are two key details found on the Miss Rouche Satchel. Off white leather with silver hardware details give this piece an extra clean look and personally, I find it quite boring. I will note that the cool interior lining of wild animal prints actually make up for the bags simple hues. Carrying variety is important in my book and Dolce & Gabbana wants you to feel comfortable carrying this piece, fortunately, they applied both round leather handles and a detachable shoulder strap to meet the consumers’ convenience.

I really want to like the Dolce & Gabbana Miss Rouche Distressed Tote. It’s punky, edgy, soft, and has a leopard-print lining. It’s not over-designed or overly complicated. The leather is simply left baggy instead of pulled tight at the seams. I bet it’s light, too. But something about this says ‘garbage bag’ to me, and I just can’t shake that thought when I look at it. Perhaps it’s a bit too wrinkly. Maybe it’s the extra strap (which does not look removeable - a pet peeve of mine) that’s coloring my perception. Does this ever happen to any of you? Do you ever look at a bag and really WANT to be impressed, and you just can’t muster it?
Or maybe it’s just that it’s black. The very similar Miss Rouche Distressed Satchel is hitting a homerun for me (ok, well, sort of), but it comes in a greyish white that makes the purse not quite so…garbage bag. You can also see the slouchy details much more clearly with the lighter color, and the bothersome extra shoulder strap appears to be something that can be removed (thank you Jebus). A much better effort, all in all. It’s the kind of thing that I would be excited to carry - odd, unexpected, not everyone’s taste. I don’t just WANT to like it - I DO like it.

A fur handbag. I am going to be upfront with you; I’m not sure how I feel about this. We are all familiar with how controversial fur and other exotic material is, but that’s not exactly what concerns me here. I think it is the color of the Doce and Gabbana Miss Glamorous Fur Print Handbag that really doesn’t do much for me. Come to think of it, the color of the bag just seems kind of gloomy. Even the antiqued gold metal hardware doesn’t seem to be able to add enough contrast to the fur print leather. At the same time I don’t really like the leather handles. In all reality the style of the handles doesn’t really work well with the rich look and feel of the fur. There is one thing I like about the bag, the overall shape. But really, there are probably hundreds of handbags out there with a similar shape that I would choose before ever choosing this bag. Of course this handbag comes with all the typcial amenities, like a zip top closure, textile lining and a few interior pockets. But, at the end of the day, the bag does nothing for me. Plus, in typical Dolce & Gabbana fashion, it isn’t cheap.

Take two things I dislike - nylon and the straight-out-of-the-granny-glossary words “knitting bag” - and what do you get? A surprisingly decent Dolce & Gabbana Ruched Nylon Knitting Bag. High-quality woven nylon keeps this charcoal-hued purse looking suitably expensive and well-made, with black leather trim and ruched leather handles for extra polish; peek inside and you’ll be treated to a glimpse of animal print fabric, in case you forgot which designers you’re dealing with. Pintucking gives the nylon a puffy, cloud-like effect, but it’s all in good fun. Overall, I think the purse has a style that’s both stripped down and avant garde, making a good match for downtown gals of the skinny jean/black shrunken jacket/loose tee/Starbucks cup persuasion. Those seeking mega-watt glamour or a show-stopping status bag, however, may be a tad underwhelmed.
