Pierre Hardy Leopard Saddle Bag
This slim shoulder bag from Pierre Hardy goes with just about everything and is sized just right at 17″ wide by 12″ tall. Black patent leather trims the strap, the flap and continues around the bottom of the bag. The very long shoulder strap makes it perfect for carrying across your body when you need to keep your hands free and the simple flap closure can be managed with one hand as well.

PIERRE HARDY, remember this name because soon you will be coveting everything this man creates. Hermes’ low profile shoe designer (he is also responsible for the edgy Balenciaga shoe collection) has become so hot in Hollywood he is receiving requests from Nicole Kidman for custom made shoes and handbags for the Oscars and SAG awards. Known mostly in the fashion industry for reviving the House of Dior’s shoe collection in the late 1980’s, he has since struck out on his own and created a loyal following of die hard fashionistas who keep his name to themselves. His fall bag collection is a breath of fresh air compared to Fendi and LV’s pathetic collections and we predict that mass hysteria and consumption will soon follow.

Cannes Red Carpet Ride:

Avril Lavigne in vintage Armani at the screening of Over the Hedge. Can you say, “Beetlejuice, beetlejuice, bettlejuice!”?

Is this our cute Andie MacDowell (at the Premier of The Da Vinci Code) or is this her haggardly aunt Andie MacDowdy?

Audrey Tatou at the premier of The Da Vinci Code. She’s wearing a toga right? A toga that she made herself? (actually, it is a Balmain dress.) But she is wearing fabulous Pierre Hardy sandals that we love! They are available at Barney’s in Beverly Hills and New York as well as the Neiman Marcus in Beverly Hills.

Eva Herzigova at the premier of The Da Vinci Code. She has a super hot bod and I don’t blame her for showing it off, but you still have to think about things like style and taste.

Sarah Michelle Geller at the screening of Southland Tales. She is oh-so-scary. Is she impersonating Joan Collins?

One of the best dressed is Virginie Ledoyen, who is a sexy young French actress. This look is so refreshing especially on a red carpet. We love the dressed down look for Cannes because it is after all a beach city. We predict we will be seeing a lot more of her.

The best dressed goes to Beyonce who was at the screening for Dreamgirls. The blue print dress with gold trim was designed by her mom, Tina Knowles.

Pierre Hardy
Pierre Hardy had a long illustrious career with Dior, Balenciaga and Hermes and finally started his own shoe collection in 1999. So it doesn’t surprise anyone that when he debuted his bag collection it would be nothing short of genius. This Besace bag dazzled fashion insiders and if you ever had the joy of seeing this bag there is not much mystery as to why. It is simply striking and beautiful.

Pierre Hardy Shoulder Bag
The nude with the subtle metallic trim is so beautiful and the buttery soft leather is super ultra light (the entire interior is lined with the same leather and it is still light!). There are 2 outer pockets that I cannot live without, a smaller one in the back for my cell phone and the front with the flap for my daily planner. I love that being chic and stylish with this bag does not come with the price of losing a much needed arm and the heavy lifting of most of my beloved bags.
