    Holy beautiful! This Yves Saint Laurent Y Clutch has me wondering why I don’t already have one? It is available in orchid, orange, or smoke eel-embossed leather, if only I could have one of each! I am completely thrilled that not only is this purse stiff, sturdy and beautifully well made, but it has a fabulously unique flap closure with a tonal loop and insert detail, that is just incredibly clever! Now, can you think of any reasons why we both shouldn’t get one? I sure can’t!

   A couple readers have emailed me to ask about this YSL bag. While it is very easy to immediately see that this is a Yves Saint Laurent bag, I had a hard time finding more information on this bag. Like the season it is from, are there more being produced, and why it is so utterly-absolutely-fabulous?!

The YSL logo produced by buckles is so ultra-chic I am having a hard time getting this image out of my own head. I’m no great fan of paying high prices for non-leather bags, but after seeing the Yves Saint Laurent Large Shopping Tote, I’m unsure how long I’ll be able to continue my resistance to the concept.

When you’re a fan of designer handbags, it’s best to come up with some personal price boundaries to avoid getting carried away. It’s easy to become desensitized when the most highly sought-after bag in the world costs in the high four figures, but not every bag is worth what the manufacturer might want us to pay. The Yves Saint Laurent Large Shopping Tote has positioned itself in an interesting spot, however – the price just might be low enough to pique my interest for such an attractive bag, even though it’s not made entirely of leather.

This bag has three very strong things running in its favor: first, it’s generously sized. I don’t know anyone that would need a larger bag for work (although I’m sure that are people that would), and this could also easily hold a laptop and books for a super-fashionable college student. Second, that color. It’s wonderful. Amazing. Beautiful. Unique. I love it. It’s probably better suited for fall than summer, but it’s never too early to start getting your wardrobe together for next season, now is it?

What perhaps helps this bag the most, however, is the fact that, even at $700, it’s a relative steal for a brand like Yves Saint Laurent. When you consider this bag, with its very functional size and shape and beautiful color, within the brand’s normal pricing scheme, paying that much for a non-leather bag seems to be a little more reasonable. Remember how I said that you shouldn’t get sucked in by price desensitization? Well, yeah, I just talked myself right out of that whole theory. This bag is totally great.

Yes, you all know the love I have for clutches. Frankly, I cannot have enough clutches in my collection. They all just seem to serve such an amazing purpose. While I love my clutches, with the warm Spring and Summer months upon us, I began to wonder: do most people put away their dark colored clutches and opt for brightly colored ones – OR – are the darker clutches used all year long, no matter what?

Something to ponder, huh?

Well, no matter what side of the handbag fence you are on here, there is no denying how gorgeous this brightly colored Yves Saint Laurent Y Clutch is. And if I had several clutches colored like this, there is a good chance I’d put my darker colored clutches away until the Fall and Winter.

I am not even going to beat around the bush here. I love just about everything about this clutch. The color, the shape, the style, the versatility, everything works! Personally, I am a fan of the orchid color (pictured here) eel-embossed leather, but if it’s not for you, there is an orange or smoke colored option. The flap closure has a loop and insert detailing very similar to Yves Saint Laurent detailing we’ve seen before. But really, it is the color that lured me in. It is bright, but not overbearing and I can just imagine how many outfits I would use this clutch with. Beyond the color, the clutch itself is not pretentious so you could pair it with something fancy or something casual and it would still work.

Seriously, just look at these three items. They are amazing, are they not? The YSL Roady, while a simple design, maintains a large following. The hobo shape is nothing out of the ordinary, but YSL knew that and decided to dress up many of the Roady versions to add an extra kick. The clincher on this Yves Saint Laurent Roady comes from the leopard-print lining that peeks through the bag.

I have a confession. I am not that into jewelry. There are so many options and I just get tired and overwhelmed when I look. Actually, I mostly put a mental block on jewelry because I simply can not afford another obsession, my bags cost me more than enough. But with my YSL Jungle Theme look the Yves Saint Laurent Croquet Zig-Zag Necklace gives a great vibe. The necklace’s design is an antique-inspired collar with zig-zags. Not much more to say than I like it.

They ooze gloriousness and beautifulness (so much so that I make up words like those two). These sandals not only look amazing in green, which is such an unexpected color, but also the green hue screams jungle theme. You know why else these shoes are jungle theme perfect? Because if I wore them I would be literally 6′6″ and that would make me Amazon-like. The crisscrossing bands of leather and buckle T-strap have become icon to these shoes.
