Somebody said to me that brains are becoming the new beautiful, while I don’t completely agree it seems that we’re having an influx of luxe designer gadgets to fulfill our needs. It seems to have all started with the D&G V3 with the high end designer house jumping aboard the already popular Motorola phone and adding a little bling. Soon after, we saw Prada team up with LG and bring out the very chic Prada phone one of the very first to have what is quickly becoming the feature du jour: the large touch screen.

Now the latest designer to throw their hat into the ring is Giorgio Armani, pairing up with Samsung to bring their offering of the new Armani phone which unsurprisingly is packing a touch screen too. To mix it up a bit they will also be bringing out a TV amongst, from what we’ve heard, a bevy of other household electronics.

If Gisele managed to win Chacarel’s heart to promote their new perfume, Liberté, Beyoncé on the other hand captured Giorgio Armani heart to be the new face of Emporio Armani Diamonds.

This sexy talented actress/singer/model/entrepreneur was chosen by Mr. Armani himself because he thinks that she represents the glamour and glitz of the fragrance, plus they have been friends for 7 years.

Ms. Beyoncé will not only pose but also sing in the TV campaign. According to FemaleFirst, it will be “an old American song”.

This seriously looks like you would find it in the medieval period carrying around an apple or something medivalish (hey, I was never a fan of history so I’m not quite sure what they carried around then). My biggest problem is the price. For this you want $1695? Are you out of your mind?

This Giorgio Armani Velvet Tassel Tote is simply all wrong. Armani, which is usually known for its high end fashion, should have never made this bag public. The tote is made of chocolate velvet with brown crochet embroidered trim on the body. There is a woven double shoulder strap with the infamous tassels. Now, for this bag Armani wants $1695 of your hard-earned cash . Are you going to splurge on this?

I have a little question; how many of you think you could head on over to your local craft store and make this bag yourself? If I have a little free time when I head back to the states I just might do so and show pics later to see if it resembles this bag. What do you all think??

While Bergdorf placed these two items together on their own, I couldn’t see a better match. I have grown a new appreciate for shoe and bag combos and this combo sits quite well with me. If you are in on the trend of spring, that being white, then this bag and lacy shoe duo may leave you trying to scrap together $2080. Ouch. But still gorgeous. First let us give our attention to the beautiful Armani bag. The Giorgio Armani Croc-Embossed Tote implements the use of an exotic embossed material along with the spring white trend. How can you not want to embrace this white croc-embossed leather tote with tan leather trim and beautiful golden hardware? There is something about this bag that grabs my eye and has it coyly following the bag. Hanging from this bag is a tassel and logo charm. I can imagine that some of you may find the charm to be a bit much, but that doesn’t mean you can’t remove it. The tote gives a ton of slouch with its 10″H x 17″W x 5″D dimensions. Buy this stylish tote through Bergdorf Goodman for $1595.

Lately I have been indulging in my shoe fetish. I always felt a bit awkward buying shoes because I wear a size 10 and I have this preconceived notion that 8 is the perfect size. That was then, now I am embracing my feet, which do perfectly match my height and indulging myself in beautiful shoes. When I picture a pair of lacy shoes, the Giorgio Armani Embellished Satin Halter fit the mold quite nicely. Made of metallic beige silk satin, these stripy shoes are beautifully accented with a looped flower with a crystal center. I can imagine this bag and shoes going together perfectly with jeans and a tank, can’t you? There is an adjustable halter strap along with a 3″ covered heel. 3″ is not that bad, although it does put me over the 6 ft mark, but isn’t height supposed to be sexy?

      It seems as though Victoria Beckham is a living Marc Jacobs ad lately. Her dress closet has been comprised of Marc Jacobs dresses, and while each dress looks a little blah on the mannequin, Victoria pulls it off with flying colors. And what is her bag of choice with all of her Marc Jacobs dresses? It has been Hermes as of late, until this past weekend. As she shopped with her kids at Barney’s in Beverly Hills, Victoria Beckham wore the Marc Jacobs Dabble Print Tunic Dress and paired it with the Giorgio Armani Croc-Embossed Tote. When I first spotted this bag I was wracking my brain trying to figure out the designer, but with a little help on tPF, we figured it all out. The handbag is designed with beige crocodile embossed leather.

   I can always count on Giorgio Armani to offer something elegant, chic and ladylike any time of year. This Giorgio Armani Pleated Leather Purse has an intricate pleated design, like a delicate ruffled lace collar, or princess-like chiffon trills. What is surprising, is that the pleats are made of a soft leather, but gathered like a dainty silk purse. The fresh white color and updated fabrication make this handbag modern and new. Baby’s got a brand new bag… the ‘GA’ logo even has a very modern new makeover at the front.

   Yawn. Seriously…it looks like Giorgio & co. weren’t even trying when they designed this Armani Shoulder Bag, which features butter-hued leather, a front flap, a logo charm, and top handles. I realize that Armani is renown for their less-is-more, self-edited glam, but there’s really nothing here. Made in Italy, the bag is undoubtedly immaculately made, but it completely lacks any ingenuity or pizzazz. More details or even a more daring color would have helped.

   The handbags shown at Giorgio Armani’s Milan ready-to-wear show may not have broken new ground design-wise, but it’s Armani - we want classic and sophisticated, not cutting-edge. And Armani delivered. Most of the bags were clutches, which came in a variety of styles and colors and sizes, including a gorgeous pale lavender version and a large handheld cream version with gathered fabric. Of the larger shoulder bags he did, a pale gray bag was both elegant and incredibly soft-seeming. Like all of Armani’s work, these glamorous bags are guaranteed to stand the test of time.
