Hermes Herbag

hermes-herbag
The Herbag from Hermes was a convertible little companion, featuring two canvas
bodies, often in different sizes or colors, and one leather flap with top handle, shoulder strap and
support bar that could be fastened to either body depending on your needs or desires that day. Rumor has it that Hermes has discontinued this bag, likely because customers considered it a PIA to accomplish the conversion. You may still find one on the shelf at Hermes boutiques and select Neiman Marcus stores, but it could be the last. Fans will miss it for the practicality (it travels well) and versatility it offered. Paris Runway Report: Hermes Handbags

hermes-handbags3hermes-handbags2hermes-handbags1
The Hermes Paris ready-to-wear runway collection featured a slew of handbags that ran the gamut from simple and elegant to the unusual and eccentric. Models first carried sleek and somewhat basic black and beige leather bags, including a long purse with a top handle. Things quickly took a sharp detour, with a bold blue bag making an appearance, followed by leather and shearling bags that recalled Aspen.  Get Hermes handbags at Amazing Price…

Hermes Stays Ahead

hermes-stays-ahead
In the first half of the fiscal year, the company saw a 24% gain in U.S. sales. Worldwide, sales increased 12.8% to 813.2 million euros ($1.3 billion) from 721.1 million euros ($1.1 billion) in the same period the year previous. Second quarter sales were just-as-impressive worldwide, up 12.1% to 398.1 million euros ($631 million) from 355.5 million euros ($564 million) in 2007.

Unlike many of its competitors, including major French conglomerates Louis Vuitton Moët Hennessy and PPR, owned by billionaires Bernard Arnault and Francois Pinault, respectively, the brand has been able to increase sales by continuing to please its core customer, rather than aiming to attract a broader audience. At Hermès, you won’t find a $500 dollar handbag like you will at PPR-owned Gucci, or $300 plastic costume earrings, which are on sale at privately-owned Chanel. Instead, the 170-year-old company focuses on producing limited editions of their handbags, which begin at $5,000.

“What’s really interesting about Hermès is that they have not followed the typical luxury model,” says Lucian James , president of Agenda Inc, a brand strategy firm in Paris and San Francisco. “When other luxury brands were reaching to a slightly bigger mass market, Hermès made a very specific decision not to do that.”              Visit http://www.six-star-replicas.com to view their exclusive collection of Hermes handbag

Hermes 2009

The shoulder JPG birkin will officially be replaced by the shoulder JPG Birkin II. The bag will have two pockets inside (one meant to be for the cell phone), the HAC style closure will be replaced by a real Birkin closure, and the bag will loose some of its width compared to the old JPG Shoulder birkin in order to fit better under the arm.

The shoulder Kelly we saw in the show IS BEING PRODUCED, and as a matter of fact they already ordered some for next S/S 09. It will be made in Taurillon clémence, in more or less all the colours they do in this leather, and the lizard one was obviously just a sample for the show. I don’t know anything about SO in other leathers or exotics, sorry. It has a pocket inside, and despite what we saw in the show he told me it is as big as the JPG Soulder Birkin, he specified that the reason for wich it appears smaller is that the width has been reduced (just like in the JPG Birkin II version).

HANDBAG HERO: Victoria Beckham and her Hermès family

Right, so you know a woman is truly a Handbag Hero when you can create a whole gallery dedicated solely to her Hermès handbag collection! While Victoria Beckham is rumoured to own over 100 bags by the French fashion house, I have picked out a very tiny chunk of these to show you. Her Birkins sit pride of place in the collection, and she owns these in a variety of colours, materials and exotic skins. However, Victoria doesn’t discriminate, and she also owns Kelly pochettes, a croc Baccara clutch and probably squillions more we haven’t even seen yet! More…

Hermes and Louis Vuitton in Heidi’s Staged Mother’s Day Outing

Hermes and Louis Vuitton in Heidi’s Staged Mother’s Day Outing
I am quite possibly the least knowledgeable 18 - 40 year old North American female when it comes to Heidi Montag and her associates. Why? I find her and Lauren Conrad horribly boring. But today, I’ve changed my mind. This obviously very staged Mother’s Day moment between Heidi, her shadow (aka Spencer) and Heidi’s mom raised my blood pressure. The brain instinctively went into red alert. It screamed: SAVE THE KELLY! While Heidi’s mom looks cute and simple in her shirt dress, loafers and the ever classic monogram Louis Vuitton Batignolles, the beloved Hermes Kelly hanging off of Heidi’s arm makes me shudder. Upon closer inspection, this lovely Kelly looks to be fairly new and un-abused so I’m wagering that it actually belongs to some well-meaning but misguided stylist who loaned it for the purpose of this shoot. (Note to said Stylist: We need to talk.) I’m not sure of Heidi’s stature (horribly boring, remember?) so I can’t conclusively tell what size this lovely Kelly is, but I’m taking a guess that this is Hermes‘ Poussiere color, a lovely neutral with a sort of grayish undertone. The name literally means ‘dust’. I’ll leave you to the obvious witty parallels.

Jen Aniston traveling from LAX to Heathrow with Hermès

Jen Aniston traveling from LAX to Heathrow with Hermès
We’re always inundated with everything Brad & Angelina, and compared to those two, Jennifer Aniston can never compete for media attention. Just as well because Jen seems like a quiet, down to earth sort of gal. She was spotted at LAX catching a plane to Heathrow, no doubt to see her love interest, John Mayer. In the 90’s, Jen’s brand of minimalism was de rigueur, but it sometimes gets lost in this age of bling. I, for one, am never really impressed with Jen’s (lack of) fashion choices, but this picture made me do a double take. In her chosen uniform of jeans an a tee, Jen looks rather yawn-inducing, but check out that delicious bag she’s toting! The leather looks buttery and the color is almost iridescent! On second glance, I recognize that it’s an Hermès creation: the Massai. While I’d never choose this style of handbag for myself, the Massai fits Jen’s style perfectly: quiet and unassuming, comfortable and streamlined. This particularly bag looks to me to be the color graphite, rendered in Hermès‘ Swift leather, though don’t quote me on that until I can locate a closeup! More…

Julia Roberts & Her Orange Hermes Birkin

Julia Roberts & Her Orange Hermes Birkin

Julia Roberts & Her Orange Hermes Birkin
In “Steel Magnolias,” the wedding colors of Julia Roberts‘ character were “blush and bashful.” But in real life, she’s a much bigger fan of…blush and…jack-o-lantern? True, orange is the signature Hermes color, but there’s a difference between admiring that classic orange box and pairing a Sunny D-hued Birkin with not just a pink cardy but a floral peasant skirt to boot. (Somewhere an assistant is waving smelling salts under Victoria Beckham’s nostrils.) Posh it’s not, but I suppose Julia has better things to do than worry about clashing colors and structured purses with unstructured outfits. Me, I would have saved the orange-you-glad-it’s-Hermes bag for some high-class Halloween trick or treating. More…

Mary-Kate Olsen’s Hermes Kelly Purse

Mary-Kate Olsen’s Hermes Kelly Purse
The first thing that pops into my head upon seeing this pic of Mary-Kate Olsen is: Slop-PY! The second: Ooh, nice purse! The disheveled twin may have wanted to hide her face, but luckily our prying eyes can still feast upon her beautiful Hermes Kelly bag in classic black (to match those hideous, very regrettable black leather leggings, I guess). MK’s outfit may be a disaster on par with “New York Minute” but she at least earns a bit of admiration for appreciating the classics. Now maybe she can pair that lovely Hermes with something a little nicer? More…
